Education & Events

Our Events

We know that a major barrier to people receiving end of life care in the comfort of home is a lack of discussion and planning around end-of-life choices, and knowledge of the services available. As part of our commitment to support the provision of end-of-life care at home Warrnambool and District Community Hospice host events and activities to educate the community and promote our services.

The iconic Warrnibald Festival of Arts is coming up in May 2026. Enter using the form below

Warrnibald Festival of Arts 2026

Warrnambool & District Community Hospice is excited to expand the iconic Warrnibald into a Festival of Arts in 2026.

We have taken on this beloved arts event as an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of volunteers in our community while raising both awareness for the vital services we provide.

The inaugural Warrnibald Portrait & Art Event was held in May 2025 incorporating a successful exhibition and series of community events promoting creativity, community, and connection.

Make sure you follow the Warrnibald Portrait & Art Event on social media for announcements about next year’s event

End of Life Preparation Workshop

The End of Life Preparation Workshop has been designed to help community members live and die according to their own wishes.

Participants will learn about advance care planning, power of attorney, wills and other preparations they can make now to ensure their wishes are known and followed when the time comes. They will also receive a copy of the Manual for Living & Dying in Style, written by one of the Founders of Warrnambool & District Community Hospice, Dr Eric Fairbank.

End of Life Preparation Workshops are held on the second Thursday of each month from 2-4pm at the Archie Graham Community Centre. Attendance is free and open to people of ages; however, bookings are essential via the Archie Graham Centre on (03) 5559 4920.

We are also able to arrange for the presentation of End of Life Preparation Workshops to community groups, social and sporting clubs throughout the City of Warrnambool, Corangamite and Moyne Shires. Enquiries can be made by contacting Warrnambool & District Community Hospice on (03) 5563 3220 or via email.
